“If it’s not fun, you’re doing something wrong”
I’m always saying that to my models, and the people I work with. I probably should take these things more seriously, but to me, if it’s fun, you’ll enjoy it, and if you enjoy it, you’ll never treat it as a job.
My name’s Tony Smith, and I’m a photographer based on the beautiful Wirral, very close to Liverpool, England, UK.
I’ve been a keen photograher since 1997, but only started shooting with models back in 2012. I’ve been so luck, and taken part in over 300 shoots to date, with some truly beautiful and inspirational people. They drive me onwards, and I intend to keep doing so.
Ok, I realise may not be the most popular thing, but I’m very proud to be a Trekkie. I love Sci Fi in general, but I always come back to Star Trek. Of course, I love photography too, it’s become my hobby of choice for so long, that it’s almost like nothing else out there holds my interest for too long.
My photography has sort of taken me down the alternative route. I’m not a particularly alternative kind of guy myself, but I’ve rarely found any bad qualities in the genre. People are strong willed, dedicated, hard working, and you know what, so very professional in day to day lives, I love the community spirit, and I love working with alternative models. Always something different.
Moving forward, I’d love to take on new genre’s and styles, push myself to new things. So for Verdine to give me this opportunity is fantastic. Cheers dude. 🙂
I run a fairly popular Facebook page for my photography (see below for the link) as well as a model safety advice page. We are not there to name and shame anyone, but to take a bad situation and try to learn from it. If anyone wants to check that out, feel free. www.facebook.cok/safemodel
